Jasper Gran Fondo

Today we rode the Jasper Gran Fondo. We are behind on our photography and blogging, but today was a big day for us so I’m posting now. It will be out of order as we get caught up, but that’s the way it will have to be.

A few days ago we signed up for the 100km version of the Jasper Gran Fondo because, well, why not? It’s been a while since either have ridden that far. Years, I suppose.

Anyway, we have been very active on our trip and figured we could survive and we did. Some stats: 62 miles, 4577′ of climbing, 15mph+ headwind for the last 25 miles. We felt it. We feel it now! The pic above is of us at the base of Marmot Ski Resort (highest base elevation in Canada). And below, the “medal” made of some non metallic material. The pic is from our campsite, so life is good.

  1. You two are BEASTS! Congratulations on your medals and on the hard earned sore muscles. As you are athletes I imagine there’s a love/hate relationship with the sore muscle feeling 😊. Love seeing your beautiful photography (the Lake Louise ones are especially beautiful) and your smiling faces. Wishing you continued sunny skies and amazing adventures. Thanks for sharing.
