
Yesterday I rode my Honda XR650L with friends to the Touroweap Overlook of the Grand Canyon for a photo shoot. Unfortunately my camera battery died right after arriving — at least I was able to take a few pictures, including this shot looking Northeast up the canyon.
It was a fun ride. The last mile or so to the overlook would be challenging without a high clearance vehicle, but otherwise accessible. The NP does charge a fee these days, and you need a day-use permit. Modern times… I remember when… Nevermind! 🙂

Yes, it is a long way down! Fortunately, there is a small ledge just over the edge that makes it much safer to stand in this spot and take a pic. 🙂
